Dwarf Key Lime
Well known for its namesake pie, the Key Lime is a hybrid citrus that bears cute little greenish-yellow golfball sized fruits. Easy to grow indoors, the tree can begin bearing fruit in as little as two years. Key limes are high in vitamin C and are an essential ingredient in sweet and tart desserts (like Key Lime Pie Lush and Mango Key Lime Cheesecake), cocktails, and marinades. Growing a tree of your own ensures that you always have key limes on hand when you need them!
Sometimes called Mexican lime or Bartender lime, key lime (Citrus aurantiifolia) can reach a height of 8 - 10 feet when grown in containers.
Like other citrus trees, key limes are drought tolerant. Water when the soil is dry to about an inch below the surface. Do not overwater.
