Frequently Asked Seedling Questions

Seedling size varies according to variety. Citrus seedlings will between 4 and 12 inches tall when you receive them. Please see product descriptions for more information.
At this time, all of our plants -- tomatoes, basil, peppers, cukes, squash, okra,, and dwarf citrus -- are grown from seed. When it comes to citrus, conventional wisdom holds that trees grown from seed do not produce fruit. However, many growers have found otherwise. Seed-grown citrus will often produce fruit, although it may take a bit longer than citrus plants raised from grafts. As an added bonus, seed-grown plants tend to be hardier than their grafted cousins. One grower reported that his seed-grown lemon trees survived the 2021 winter freeze in Houston, TX, whereas his grafted plants all died! No guarantees are provided that any plants will bear fruit.
You will receive a detailed page of care instructions with your order. You can also find general care instructions in the product description for each variety.
Potted dwarf citrus bears fruit at varying times, depending on the variety, the conditions you provide, and the care you give it. Please refer to the product description for each variety to get an idea of when you might expect first fruits.

I like buying local, and getting seedlings that I know aren't treated with neonicotinoids! Great selection of tomatoes.
